Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights advocate, writer, model and actor. Her films include Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) and The Getaway ( 1972). Her desire to be an artist was inspired by her family background as a member of a New York family of artists. Her first job was as an assistant to photographers. She then moved on to acting and modeling. The first two films she made were noticed, and she was awarded the Golden Globe Award of Most Newcomer of the Year. MacGraw was a worldwide superstar after her film Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as a Golden Globe. After just three short films she was deemed the most successful female film in the history of box offices. The Grauman's Chinese Theater recorded her signature with handprints, foot prints and handprints in the year 1972. Also, she appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, as well as other movies. Moving Pictures is her autobiography which was published in the year 1991. MacGraw was divorced three times.
