Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American singer, writer and actress, best known for her role as Ginger Grant in the 1960s television series Gilligan's Island. Her stage career began in the 1950s, with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. In the 1950s she performed as a stage artist in a few Broadway shows before gaining her way to national prominence with Li'l Abner's debut in 1957. In 1957, she also launched her first album of music named It's time to Tina. Louise debuted in Hollywood as God's Little Acre, a film that was released in the year 1958. She played Griselda who was a character from the movie. In this time she attended the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. The next role she starred in was through in 1964 when she was signed by CBS to portray Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise Balfour continued to successfully move between Broadway and Hollywood playing a somber, sombre character contrast to her image of the glamorous model. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1, she played Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. But, over the last few years she also became a well-known director of popular television series like Supernatural and The 100. Her family relocated from Essex to Toronto and she lived there for childhood and adolescence. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 to play the role and has been settling down in Toronto ever since.
