Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada, and is now American. She has more than twenty albums. DiFranco's music is classified as folk and alternative rock but she also draws influences of jazz and hip-hop. Ani Difranco is believed to be a feminist legend as well as a Grammy award-winning. As one of first female artists in the 1990s, DiFranco founded her own label. DiFranco was the child of Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. They began their relationship at their school, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Both her parents were both from Montreal origin. Ani DiFranco wrote and sang 32 Flavors. The song debuted in 1995 on the sixth album Not a Pretty Girl. The song was featured in the soundtrack to the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate, released in 1999.
