Maribel grew in Virginia with her parents, although there aren't many details about their lives. Maribel was enthralled with the idea of becoming a lawyer at young age. After high school graduation in the year 1819, she attended the University of Virginia, where she graduated with a concentration in German and foreign Policy. Thomas Jefferson, an author of the Declaration of Independence, founded the school in 1819. It has since grown to include more than hundred courses, centered in the vicinity of Jefferson's Academical Village which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. About 1,600 acres of land are dedicated to the main university, and many more are devoted to its research park, in addition to the university's farm. When she completed her studies, Maribel furthered her studies at New York Law School to study for a Juris Doctor. Maribel Aber NYLS is a private law school that is known to be the home of high profile faculty members, most who have also worked with the legal and business world.
